Make yourself at Home....

Since we were getting kicked out of the university halls after the first semester, we had been 'house-hunting' for quite a while and finally came across one which we fell in love at first sight :D
I would have done this post a lot earlier but it took a while to get the internet connection going.. nonetheless here's a sneak peek of my new bedroom and the rest of the house!!

With a Touch of Alexa Chung

The 27 yr old Model/ TV presenter is a well known fashion icon in the industry today, who is frequent on the cover of Vogue, Elle and Harper's Bazaar. Not to mention she's recognized for her exuberent personal style which has receieved much admiration and maintained her an everlasting spot among the best dressed. She also became the face of Lacoste, DKNY and Pepe Jeans.

"I prefer it when I look like a boy to when I have to dress up like a girl." says Alexa. I've always admired her effortless style and being able to pull off almost anything in the most confident way.

It's On with Alexa Chung!

Alexa seems to be quite fond of Vintage Clothing and mentions that she's not particularly a 'girlie gir' frm head to toe.

Mulbery launched a range of handbag and named it after Alexa Chung..

With one of the most enviable wardrobe and her unique androgynous take on style, this fashionista proves that she's here to stay.

Fashion fades, only style remains the same. - Coco Chanel

Sucker Punch

I can say that I waited SO long for this movie to come out ever since I saw the trailer. Absolutely loved this soundtrack and really enjoyed the movie too. Felt like I was reading a book in some parts or was in some kind of a Tomb Raider game, either way, pretty cool. I wouldn't mind watching it all over again. The movie kinda has a sublime message on its own, so I would reccommend it, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Nevertheless, I definately liked it.

Thinspiration

Ok.. they do say that beauty is only skindeep and this isn't some kind of body image obsessed blog. its just a simple Fact.
The Fact being: - Girls are seldom happy about the way they look and the minority of you who are satisfied 'hats off to u' but i jus hope you're not lying to yourself. its like in our genetic makeup or something. You can blame it on this-that-and-the-other but there's no denying that it does exist. That prolonging strive to be the perfect size will always exist which sadly doesn't happen overnight.
I will also admit of being no different than the majority :P (just lacking a bit of determination, that's all :P)

TwoZeroOneOne

Here i am! Its jan 30th, 2011, 23:40 pm and I am sat in my room typing this while everyone else in the house is sound asleep, i can even hear the click of the keyboard clearly as this very moment. Only my poor Lamp beside my bed is humbly keepin me company. its quite Loyal and faithfully sits beside me as the night progresses into its blinding darkness :)

Reflecting back, 2010 isn't one of the years i would like to greatly recall i guess, so i've decided to restart as much as i can, even though i am clearly aware that isn't entirely possible.. well, hey at least i can stay positive for now. So, i've found my way back here where i would like to keep this blog to keep me motivated or simply vent out my thoughts as the year goes on.... And one of the first things on that list is i will be starting uni soon!!!

But while i am here, i have managed to keep myself occupied with some books in the past few weeks. here are just a few of them i read..

a taste of the twilight with Stephanie Myer..

another great read by Libba Bray, set in a Victorian time England and the first book in the Triology...

I must say i had been putting off reading The end of Mr. Y for quite a long time and it was on my shelf for quite a while. Now I can say that I should have bothered to pick it up a lot sooner coz it was very intriguing and was hooked on it till the last page. Can I be anymore of a bookworm? LOL
